1976 Elder Jeff Busch

Unknown missionary & Elder Busch
You made my day. Thank you and congratulations on your new chapel. I served in Taunton from mid July 1976 (our Bicentenial) to 28 January 1977 at which time I completed my mission.
I have to tell you that I loved the time I served in Taunton and would have been happy serving the
entire two years there. My first companion in Taunton was Elder Spencer Larsen. He was followed by Elder Leslie Barney, then Elder Duncan Larsen, who was a brand new missionary. All oi them were great missionaries who taught me a great deal.
I remember meeting in the Red Cross Hall, I believe. I remember feeling welcome and loved by the members. Although we met and taught many wonderful people in Taunton, I did not have the opportunity to see any of them baptized while I was there.
After returning from my mission, I graduated from the University of California, Davis with a Degree in American History. I then attended McGeorge School of Law, the University of the Pacific. I am currently an attorney (Barrister) empasizing estate planning and domestic relations.
I married Alisin Montgomery in the Oakland California Temple. We have five wonderful children. Robby, 23, served an honourable mission in the Russia Rostov-Na-Danu Mission and attends BYU. Heidi, 21, will graduate from BYU at Idaho in April. Ryan, 18, is preparing to serve a mission this spring. Tanner, 17 is an 11th grader. Trevor, 7, is our surprise child.
I am happy to say we are all active in the gospel. I am blessed to work in the Sacramento
California Temple each Thursday morning and absolutely love it. My wife and I are also
Blessed by the opportunities we have to serve.
Serving a mission has to be the best thing I have ever done. My testimony and gospel knowledge grew by leaps and bounds. Each Sunday as I sit in our nice chapel I think back on the comparitively humble surroundings we had in
Taunton, but what a great spirit there was. For those of you who were there when I served, thank you for all you did to bless my life. I hope I was able to return The favour in some small way.
I look forward to visiting you in your beautiful chapel in the not to distant future. May God Continue to bless the Taunton saints.”
