Did you know that swimming The Channel is one of the most expensive ways to get to France. Boat hire and fees are around £3,000 (or £150 a mile if you could swim as the crow flies), Then there is accommodation whilst waiting for the right weather.
I am seeking a title sponsor to fund this swim.
In return for sponsorship, I will promote your brand in as many ways as we can design. Including provision of a page of this website to your business, along with banner adverts on every page, links, catalogues and shopping carts for your product. (see all references to ICE WATCHES my current ICE SWIM title sponsor). As my Channel swim sponsor , your product will be given front window exposure in my shop. You will be branded on my clothing ranges, flyers and leaflets. Your brand will form the basis of incentives and prizes to my customers. I will be available for after dinner motivational speaking assignments at your request, attendance at your trade exhibitions and other requirements to support your needs in funding this swim. I will seek media attention including newspapers, trade press, radio and television.
Not all Channel swims are the same. This one, calendered for 12th September 2013 will be a world first and redefine the nature of long distance swimming. As title sponsor, you will be the only outside person or company brought into my team , to be fully informed as to the unique nature of this World first swim. The secret may get out, but otherwise my pilot, my coach , my family and the Channel Swimming Association will be the only ones who will know the full extent of this endeavour, unitil my toes get wet. Having said that, maybe two or three other individuals will be sworn to secrecy.

We borrow these items simply to show you and you can choose to buy or not, without obligation. As we have not invested funds into these approval items, we can ensure the price is always competitive.

3. Bulova Watches
We have stocked Bulova Watches for a number of years. The range is exciting and technologically advanced. (See their tab under watch Brands).
Bulova have donated this particular watch Model 98B130 to be sold and the funds donated to the swim. The watch is from the Marine Star range and is water resistant to 200m. It has a stainless steel case and bracelet with a double locking Z clasp and wetsuit extension clip. A fully luminous dial with a very smart and detailed blue design. (A black version is also available).

Haydn Welch Jewellers are the only independant retail jewellery shop in Taunton favoured to carry the Seiko brand. Indeed, Seiko were the first
watch brand to be introduced into our business in 1985 .
We are grateful to Seiko for supporting Haydn's English Channel swim by donatng a watch towards funding the expenses of the swim.

Haydn would like to thank Chris at Fushion for his generous £150 cash donation.
Chris is a goldsmith who we employ to undertake many of our customers repairs and remodelling commissions. He specialises in one off CAD design work, which is then carefully manufactured into beautiful
items of handmade jewellery.
If you have an idea or rough sketch of an item of jewellery which you you have designed, we will ask Chris to produce a CAD version for you. From this design we will be able to quote various price options depending on your preferred precious metal and gem stone choices. All with no obligation and no cost to you.
If you subsequently choose to commission us to make your item 'in house' we are able to divert the manufacturers normal margins and use these amounts towards the cost of your handmade bespoke and unique design. Often the amount you pay is virtually the same as a standard item..............the difference? You get a truely unique item, handmade to your design.

Alexanders supply Haydn Welch Jewellers with a range of diamond and gemset jewellery. They also supply a beautiful range of Sterling Silver & Enamel charms under the 'Tingle' brand.
The donation of 15 Tingle charms will be great fun to sell and very appropriate to my chosen charity CoppaFeel. The charms are of a ribbon enamelled in breast cancer pink, with a central heart motif set with sparkling Cubic Zirconia. Beautifully gift boxed, they retail at £40 and I am offering any supporter to buy these for £25.
If you wish to support me towards the funding of my English Channel swim "The Undone Way" with £25, I will send you one of these Tingle charms and donate £5 to CoppaFeel for each pendant sold.
7. Orchard Shopping Centre
THANK YOU Orchard Shopping Centre Taunton, who have generously sponsored the costs of my accommodation prior to and after I have swam the English Channel "The Undone Way".
Haydn Welch Jewellers have been a tenant of the Centre for around twenty years. We have enjoyed the benefit of Landlords that have refurbished the centre in recent years, truly bringing City Shopping to a Market Town. The shops are modern and varied with a mix of independantly owned businesses and National multiple retailers.
There are regular exciting projects always being developed to enhance the shopping experience. We absolutely love the Petting Zoo, where farm animals are brought to the Centre and can be petted by children and adults (particularly the Micro Pigs). There is also the annual Fashion Show, and many other displays and experiences.
There are currently two or three units available to rent, and we would have no trouble in recommending any interested retailer to walk through the centre and catch up on the vibe.
Our sponsorship plans are bringing in funds and of course, these are VAT and Tax deductible for business sponsors.
Upon our stay we will pass the invoice for our accommodation to the Centre. Their £250 donation will enable them to recover £50 of the vat and £200 written against the profits of the Landlord.In this way, sponsorship can be economically afforded and very gratefully received. If you have a business which would like to support my rather audacious world first attempt to swim the English Channel, "The Undone Way", I would be delighted to work with you to ensure we do our very best in return for your support.
